Hunny Bunny and I had a fishy Thanksgiving this year.
I’ve been eating a Pescetarian diet for about 6 weeks now.
**Pescetarianism
Pescetarianism ( /ˌpɛskɨˈtɛəriən/) (also spelled pescatarianism) is the practice of a diet that includes seafood but not the flesh of other animals. A pescetarian diet shares many of its components with a vegetarian diet and includes vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains, beans, eggs, and dairy, but unlike a vegetarian diet also includes fish and shellfish.
It started out as a diet (which I successfully dropped 15 pounds In about 6 weeks, and it has been the easiest diet I have ever been on!) but has turned into a lifestyle. So much so, that Hunny Bunny obliged me with a Trout and Clam Thanksgiving. I think it’s sweet of him but my mom would say its because ‘He doesn’t want to be married to a tubby.’
Whatever the reason, it was delicious and Hunny Bunny gets a happy wife which gives him a happy life and little extras ;)!!
Half the fun of our dinner was going to Pikes Market the night before to get our seafood and veggies.
We had dinner at Steelhead.
*Butternut Curry Soup, him
*Orange Fennel Salad, me
*Roasted Cauliflower, me
*Rice, Beans & Sausage, him
Thanksgiving morning started off with a video conference with Hunny Bunny’s family.
*John’s parents, John & Marie, Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Damon from South Carolina.
*Sister Tricia her hubs Jim and their daughter Alise from Delaware.
*Sister Erin, her hubs LaKeith and their 2 kiddo’s Candis & Calub from North Carolina.
We represented from Washington with our youngest child.
Until he got tired and we had to put him down for a nap.
Our Fishy Thanksgiving…
Appetizer: Grilled clams.
Dinner: Grilled Trout, Clams, Green Beans & Brussels Sprouts.
Then we sat around looking like this
and watched 2 movies:
It was a pretty great day, but would’ve been perfect if the kids were home.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
