One of the neat things about living on the lake and having our boat in our backyard is we can do impromptu dinners across the lake in just minutes.
Like Last week.
I had plans to meet a girlfriend (Karina) for Happy Hour in the city, when HB called and said he was bringing a co-worker (Patrick, who lives in Huntington Beach, CA) home and they wanted to take the boat to dinner. Karina was game. Her lover, Jon Mark, also works for NetApp but had previous plans to help a neighbor out with something so he couldn’t join us.
So Karina met us here at the house and we went over to BluWater in Leschi Bay. The blue line is routed out by car. My iPhone Garmin doesn’t have a ‘by boat’ option.
It’s great because its fast, there are no traffic or parking issues, and the scenery is great!
Karina and I.
Patrick and Hunny Bunny.
Sailboats and Mt. Ranier.
A rowing team going out to practice.
The food at BlueWater was all very good. I totally forgot to take pictures. I have an idea how that happened, I guess I was too hungry and excited! I know we will be going back again soon so I’ll definitely take pictures then.
Bellevue in the background.
Then we rode over to Mercer Island and found Paul Allen’s (Microsoft) house and boat with helipad
After gawking, and a ride around Mercer Island we went home.
We are really enjoying the beautiful weather and new Washington friends.
Life is good.
